Re: More PD Film Questions when theres time |
I know "Curse" has a restored DVD, but that might only be the Spanish Language version. That might apply to Alien Contamination as well, since the uncut version was destributed by a name culty distributer like Elite, anchor bay or somebody. Ihope Video Cellar can shed some more light on the subject. On one final note, I also remembered I have PD copies of "War of the Monsters" (the 2nd gamera movie) and "The Hellbenders" with Joseph Cotten. CR or PD? Thank you.

1966's
War of the Monsters or
Gamera vs. Barugon shows no renewal registrations at USCO, but since it's a foreign film, I can't be sure if it's PD or not.

Re: More PD Film Questions when theres time |
"War of the Monsters is definitely PD. "Attack of the Monsters" is also PD, but "Gamera vs Guiron" is not. Both Titan Productions and Sandy Frank Enterprises dubbed the same film in different ways, but Sandy Frank keeps up with his copyright renewals. The original "Gamera" also received this treatment, so "Gammera the Invincible" is PD, but "Gamera" isn't.
